Retiree's Day Friday, July 31

It's time to kick back and relax and have a good time at the Ottawa County Fair! Featuring the Retirees' Horseshoe Tournament, Free Cookies, Pie and Ice Cream and other events

Lunch At The Fair

Free Admission Tuesday, July 28 through Friday, July 31 from 11:30 to 1:00. Come out and join us for lunch, vendor Specials Each Day!

Unique Motor Sports

With events like the Off Road Shootout and Demo Derby, Unique Motor Sports brings the thunder and excitement of the dirt track to Holland. Don’t miss the Powder Puff Derby, and the First Annual Ottawa County Fair Burn Out Contest.

Harness Racing

Harness Racing has been a main attraction at many county fairs since the 1800’s, when friends and neighbors would race to see who had the fastest horse. Originally run on city streets, these contests found a welcome home on fairgrounds as popularity grew. Experience the grand tradition at the Ottawa County Fair!

SJO Motorcross

One of the Premier Motor Sports Events in Michigan returns for its 15th year at the Ottawa County Fair. SJO, home of the Michigan State Fair Supercross Series, has riders from 4 years of age to over 40 racing bikes from 80cc to the big 250cc on a specially designed course with jumps and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the night.

Lawnmower Racing

The Michigan Lawn Mower Racing Association is bringing their unique brand of racing to the fair. With their blades removed, some of these mowers can reach speeds of 60 MPH mowers on the course. Watch these guys turn a weekend chore in to a competitive sport!

Ryan Pelton - Elvis Impersonator

Fresh from his recent role as Elvis in the latest Dakota Fanning movie “Hound Dog”, Ryan Pelton bring his love of entertaining, and his new Teddy Bear Gun to the fair. Presenting classic Elvis songs with a stage presence to match, Ryan’s show is sure to please your inner Elvis fan.

Scott Spears and The Wild Woodys

Since November 1984, Scott Spears and The Wild Woodys have been playing their own brand of Rockabilly music to appreciative audiences and loyal fans at clubs, festivals, and concerts young and old alike! Anyone with half a boogie bone in their body will instantly attach their hips to their rockabilly rhythms. Come out to the fair and see and hear this bands awesome live stage show.

Delilah DeWylde And The Lost Boys

Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys march to the country shuffle of a bygone era; before country was on FM radio, before country artists had personal trainers, and most certainly, before country sounded like rock and roll with fiddle. Mixing self penned songs with old country hits, Delilah and the Lost Boys come out on stage looking and sounding like a 45 year step back in time.

West Shore Chorus

Come out and hear The West Shore Chorus of Sweet Adelines International perform in Barbershop style harmony. The Chorus is made up of an adventurous group of women of all ages. The group is based in Grand Haven, but their members hail from all over West Michigan.

"Uncle Charlie" VanderMeer

Uncle Charlie takes a break from his radio drama programs "Keys for Kids" and “Storytime” to visit the Ottawa County Fair with his wooden friend Wally, bringing their children’s program full of ventriloquism, dramatized stories and Gospel Magic with "tricks that teach".

The Patchwork Pear

Mat and Deb Emerick present the colorful pieces of their "patchwork" variety act. Deb plays guitar and banjo, and sings while Mat provides "moving pictures" through mime, juggling, and more. Fun for all ages, don’t miss the "Pear"!

2009 Special Attractions

The Michigan Wall

Presented by Chapter 73 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, The Michigan Wall is a portable memorial to the 2648 Michigan men and women who lost their lives in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Location books are provided to facilitate the finding of names on the wall. The memorial will be on display all week.
